FYFs are abrasion-resistant as well as cut-resistant, FYFs are not abrasion-proof and FYFs are not cut-proof. Wear FYFs with caution, while they provide reasonable resistance to abrasion and cuts as advertised, objects can penetrate them at any given time or situation. FYFs are neither puncture-resistant nor puncture proof. Be aware of pointy objects, which can penetrate FYFs without any given resistance.

FYF is a product that wears out over time and has a certain lifetime depending on regularity of usage. FYFs are suitable for outdoor use on soft ground, track across the fields, sandy paths, forest paths, sandy beach, gardens, water sports, board sports, swimming, protective - not proof - against cuts potentially caused by shells, corals, stones to a limited extend.
FYFs are not suitable for tarmac roads may decrease durability of the product significantly, paths with sharp obstacles, rocky paths to a limited extent, sports where there are needle-like objects like sea urchins, as FYFs are not puncture-resistant.
